About
Our Story
Wealth Pursuits was founded in 2019 with the goal of helping people take control of their personal finances.
While there are plenty of blogs specializing in a single area of personal finance, such as budgeting or saving, we believe that personal finance is multi-dimensional. In order to master your personal finances, you need to take control of ALL areas of personal finance.
You need to generate a comfortable income.
You need to budget.
You need to save.
You need to invest.
Our goal is to provide guides that help you in every area of your personal finance journey. Whether you are trying to save more money each month or looking to start a brand new business, we offer the guides and resources you need to succeed.
Our team of specialists works to create comprehensive and easy-to-follow. More importantly, we are focused on actionable financial strategies. We say no to “universal recommendations” and “abstract recommendations” and focus on creating custom-tailored content for your specific needs.
Our Take on Finance
Wealth Pursuits is dedicated to all things related to building wealth.
We all define “wealth” in different ways, but most of us would agree that the pursuit of wealth is worthwhile (you wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t, right?).
For some, this means having a little bit of extra spending cash to dabble in the finer things in life. For others, this means building financial security to take care of family and spend more time with loved ones. And, of course, some have bold ambitions to build great wealth that allows for travel, indulgence, and early retirement.
However you define the pursuit of wealth, we’re here to provide the resources that help you along your journey.
As you explore the content on our site, keep the following in mind:
- Everyone has their own unique journey. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to building wealth.
- Specialization is key. We feature resources related to a broad range of side hustles, businesses, and investing strategies. While you have a lot of resources at your disposal, it’s important to keep in mind that specialization is your best bet. You are likely to yield better results from spending 100 hours on one side hustle (or business) than you would from spending 10 hours on 10 different side hustles.
- There are multiple components to a wealthy lifestyle. Building wealth (in the monetary sense) requires you to focus on money in, money out, and money growth. Let’s dive a bit deeper into that.
For simplicity’s sake, we will measure wealth using monetary metrics. A wealthy lifestyle is about more than just money, but money can grant you many of the non-monetary privileges you seek (i.e. more time with family, freedom to travel, the ability to give/share, etc.)
Wealth management comes down to focusing on three categories:
- Money In
- Money Out
- Money Growth
Money in refers to any form of income. This includes your salary, side hustle paycheck, business revenues, and so on.
Money out refers to any expenses you may have. This includes rent, car payments, food, and so on.
Money growth refers to the returns you are able to generate from your existing money. This includes interest, dividends, capital gains and so on.
If you want to live a wealthy lifestyle, you should focus on all three areas. What can you do to make more money? What can you do to save more and spend less? What can you do to grow your money?
Wealth Pursuits features articles and guides that help answer these questions. If you are interested in making more money, check out some of our guides to side hustles and business ideas.
